A small framed print, the writing that goes with it, and a gift bag, handed to a stranger.
Hundreds have gone out this way, to people who were kind, or who looked like they needed to be seen. They ask for nothing in return.
Frames made by hand
Frantisek and Chantal make the frames themselves, at their own table. Sometimes an older frame is given a second life. Each holds a small print of one of his paintings and the words that belong to it.
Then it goes into a gift bag, and into someone's hands.
A clerk. A flag person. A stranger who offered a kindness. Someone who looked as though they needed a little light.
No explanation. No follow-up. Just a small gesture of seeing.
Because, as the words on the front of this site say: people usually are not seen.

You cannot buy a kindness print
They are not for sale. That is part of what makes them meaningful.
If you would like one of the paintings for your home, the store carries prints of the same images in sizes meant for your walls. Every purchase helps support the programs and keeps the gatherings free.
But the small kindness prints are different. They are simply meant to be given.
If one has found its way into your hands, perhaps it was meant to remind you of something simple: you were noticed. You matter. And, for a moment, someone saw you.
