Allowing ourselves, when bathing in the river, TO BECOME the RIVER.
Allowing ourselves to live for the BEAUTY underneath all DESIRE.
Allowing ourselves to WELCOME that sudden MOMENT of UNITY.

A Whisper from the Heart…

LET’S SEEK & CONNECT with OTHERS sharing DESIRES for PEACE & UNITY!
We might start to ‘SEEK & CONNECT‘ using an A.C.O.R.N.
The Mystical Beginning
A 14th century mystic in England, named Julian of Norwich, was the first woman to write and publish a book in English which survives to the present day.
“Revelations of Divine Love” described many of her mystical experiences, especially visions, including one in which she held ‘a tiny nut’ in the palm of her hand and, through it – ‘in a nutshell’ — glimpsed Universal Love & Unity.
Let’s try to Hold that Mystical Thought.
A 21st century minister within the Church of Scotland, Michael Harvey, created an organization called A.C.O.R.N.
[I can’t find any allusions to Julian of Norwich in Michael’s ACORN materials.]
And yet, ‘in a Nutshell’, Michael’s words below [with some capitals & underlining added] also describe a glimpse of Universal Love & Unity. …
“ACORN is a movement that seeks to connect Christians with the work God is doing in others through caring conversation.
Ask ‘Lord, is there anyone You want me to connect with today?’
When God Calls …
Obey by contacting them in any way appropriate.” …

Michael continued …
“Then ask the person, ‘HOW ARE YOU?’ …
God is already there with the other. Our job is to” [LISTEN COMPASSIONATELY and]
“find out what God is doing, and join in that conversation. God then reveals deeper hurts, desires and openings for the Gospel.”
Let’s try to Hold those more Worldly, A.C.O.R.N. Thoughts.
Join the Symphony
Especially the ones about Seeking, Connecting, and Compassionate Listening.
Let’s also think about Asking ‘How Are You?‘ as a meaningful question, in addition to its use as a ‘throw-away’ greeting.
Change the word ‘Christian’ to ‘Anyone I know’; change the word ‘God’ to any phrase trying to describe a Universal Force behind Love & Unity; and change the word ‘Gospel’ to ‘Healing Truth’ … AND …
A.C.O.R.N.s become [yet another] part of a UNITED GLOBAL SYMPHONY!
