Transcendence to Incarnation

Our essential task now is to shift from an era marked by humanity’s harm to the Earth to a time when people coexist with the planet in a way that benefits both.

The Universe as Continuous Creation

In considering the cosmos, one might say that God as the Creator is embodied within the universe, which is continuously creating itself, including the beings within it. Creativity itself is what advances throughout the cosmos, and we represent the evolving frontier as a transition from Transcendence to Incarnation to Realisation. We have the opportunity to recognise ourselves as incarnate expressions of divine creativity. This realisation has two profound implications.

First, the experience becomes profoundly significant. The universe is not merely a random and indifferent assembly of particles. It can be perceived as an enormous masterpiece, brimming with whatever essence manifests as feeling and emotion when it takes form. We are integral, active participants in its creation.

Second, we also share accountability and must contribute to the efforts. We find ourselves in a position where we can actively address ongoing suffering. As elements of the system, we possess the ability to influence other components within it. We possess intelligence, empathy, and a capacity for compassion. Additionally, we have an understanding of the fundamental essence present in every being, which demands a profound form of respect.

How Then Shall We Live?

What actions should we take? How do we discern what “God desires us to” do? This phrasing isn’t ideal, as it suggests a separation, yet the solution we present is to simply Be! Embrace creativity, engage with others, embody love, foster existence, seek unity, strive for wholeness, explore every possibility, and constantly renew.

The self-evolving universe is full of surprises, akin to a musician’s spontaneous creation. However, the piece of art will invariably reflect its creator. Thus, the universe will, in some way, mirror the expansive community of Persons that embodies love and interconnectedness.

The Contemplative’s Unique Role

Does the contemplative hold a unique function? We tell the contemplative: Feel at ease within the universe, explore it, strive to grasp a fraction of its countless wonders, including ourselves—be amazed by that! Celebrate the cosmos.

Despite all its harmful tendencies, observe what it has achieved, is achieving, and can achieve. And engage with it, contribute to it, participate in its construction, its artistry, its healing, and its understanding. This is where Reality resides.

You are both a part of the Finite and the Infinite. You are involved in participating in the incarnation, creation, realisation, and celebration.

Divine ecstasy brings the world into existence, and the world’s ecstasy manifests the Divine. Rejoice in the fullness of your own life.
