Finding Unity –

The world feels really divided right now, and you can see it everywhere—within families, between different groups, all over social media, and in politics. And it’s happening at the worst possible time. We’re facing serious climate and environmental problems, and at the same time, there are powerful forces—backed by money, media, and technology—pushing us even further apart. More than anything, this is a moment where we need to come together, to figure out better ways of living—with ourselves, with each other, and with this beautiful Earth we call home.

Retreating into Our Corners

And just when we most need to find each other, we end up pulling apart—retreating into our own corners, our little bubbles where everything just echoes back what we already believe. And before we really notice it, we’re no longer helping anything get better—we’re caught up in the same patterns that are making things worse.

A Spiritual Longing for Groundedness

For people who feel deeply connected—spiritually, or in their faith—giving in to despair or cynicism just doesn’t sit right. There’s a real longing to feel grounded again, to be restored in some way, so we can show up for others from a place of strength and care.

Waking Up Amidst Division

A lot of people are worn down and discouraged by how divided things have become. And yet, at the same time, something else is happening too—quietly, but unmistakably. Even in the middle of all this fragmentation, people are waking up.

Responding with Creativity and Care

You can feel it in a lot of places lately, and people are responding in their own ways. Many of us are putting our thoughts out there—through podcasts, writing, or sharing ideas—just trying to make sense of things and help others do the same. Some are artists, as we are, expressing what’s hard to say in words, bringing out both truth and beauty in a way that hits you. And then there are plenty of people who aren’t visible at all, just going about their lives with a quiet kind of care and decency that, in its own way, really matters. They just keep going, steady and grounded.

Emerging with Honesty and Compassion

It’s not going to be perfect—how could it be? We’re human. But maybe that’s not the point. Maybe what’s emerging can still be something honest and open—willing to learn, willing to question itself, creative, compassionate, and big enough to hold our differences without falling apart.
