Beautiful Voices –
On April 11, GSUW presented a gala festival of song in Castlegar, BC’s spacious Brilliant Cultural Centre.
Hosted by award-winning author, artist, and broadcaster Randy Morse, A Global Symphony featured two outstanding choruses — the Cottonwood Singers and of Family of Friends Doukhobor Choir — followed by Nelson-based pop band APB&J, and the soulful female duo, Gates. Pretty Notes, a charming two-woman ukulele-led collaboration, provided lilting tunes between choir and band performances.
Hundreds of rapt music lovers flocked to the Centre, revealing in an afternoon of beautiful voices coming together in joyful harmony — truly a global symphony!
