On Sunday March 1, non-profit organization, Global Symphony for United World (GSUW) charity, held an inauguration to formally announce the beginning of a new and locally based project. Co-founded by Slocan Valley artists, Frantisek Strouhal and Chantal Robert, in November 2024, GSUW envisions a world that is united by art. More specifically, where art acts as a universal language that transcends boundaries, connects individuals and communities in a shared journey of healing and growth.
“For us, this event represented the opening of the door to a new adventure,” Chantal expressed. CEO, Frantisek and, President, Chantal are perpetually inspired by the transformative power of art, mindfulness, and compassion. They created a movement that shares these principles and effectively contrasts the heavy reality of our present and global situation. Through their non-profit organization, they aim to collectively nurture a world grounded in love, mutual-respect and empathy.
The evening inauguration welcomed about twenty guests and was accompanied by an acoustic recital from local singer and songwriter, Philip Seagram. Seagram’s natural ability to write lyrics that are truly born from his heart is captured in his folksy melodies. His songs depict emotions or memories that can be sensed through the vibrations of every line and guitar strum.
The combination of Philip Seagram’s music and Frantisek and Chantal’s candlelit home created a warm ambience. Each guest felt the ethereal enchantment of being surrounded by Seagram’s music and Strouhal’s art. Although, what really stood out to Frantisek and Chantal was the, “sense of closeness and connection that permeated the gathering.” Frantisek continues, “It was a beautifully orchestrated event that seamlessly blended the vibrant energy arising from a diverse range of ages.”

Global Symphony for United World is currently nurtured by five dedicated board members and continues to steadily grow. GSUW is actively seeking out others who resonate with their vision to join in on the mission towards utilizing art as a Universal language. According to Chantal, “the benefits of joining our organization extend to nearly everyone, especially for those experiencing emotional and psychological challenges, such as trauma, anxiety, depression, fear, and loneliness.”
GSUW encourages engaging in creativity based activities to develop a sense of wellbeing. As a non-profit organization, GSUW intends to host creative workshops, yoga and meditation workshops, and art therapy sessions to aid in the fostering of a united world.

Frantisek states, “by nurturing human creativity, we can enhance empathy and compassion.” he continues, “By encouraging and honoring beauty in all its manifestations, we can strengthen social bonds and create a community based on respect and trust.”
Overall, the inauguration for GSUW was a delightful first introduction to commemorate the future efforts of the dedicated team committed to empowering individuals on their path of personal
development. Global Symphony for United World believes that “mindfulness serves as a gateway to a revitalized humanity that can perceive the world and others with compassion and freedom.”

Testimonials
Today’s world of advanced technology brings our attention to our world in crisis. We are living in times of gross inequality and uncertainties. The inundation of information, opinions and assumptions dulls our senses and overwhelms us to a state of despair and hopelessness that creates a divide amongst the masses. The divide creates anxiety, fear and a sense of powerlessness to make an impact or difference. One may feel at a loss to find any resolution for healing. Global Symphony for a United World shines a positive light on how acts of kindness, no matter how seemingly small, have profound, magical, lasting, far-reaching impacts on individuals, communities, countries and our world. By keeping our hearts open to receiving and giving gifts of kindness, we can create a sense of unity, hope, and renewed faith that we are not alone.

I enjoyed the pleasant and peaceful ambiance with lovely guitar music and delicious treats. And especially being surrounded by Frantisek’s beautiful award winning art all around.
A successful soirée for a worthwhile and much needed initiative for harmony and peace in this world.

We enjoyed ourselves at the home of Chantal & Frantisek…It felt like an enchanted evening…The candlelight glowing, casting shadows and making the room feel so warm and inviting…Delicious appies while the guitarist played softly in the background. It’s always so interesting to hear from Frantisek about his work…truly a lost art that he continues to bring to life.
