We are currently living in a time that is marked by both turmoil and potential. Even though there are numerous causes for anxiety, hope persists. The value of nonduality, a mindset and lifestyle rooted in experiencing God and the divine Spirit at work in the world, is being rediscovered by Westerners, Christians included. This approach does not involve disregarding rationality, but rather integrating a contemplative consciousness that allows for a more universal, profound, enlightened, and loving perspective. By embracing this perspective, we can come together to find creative solutions for the injustices of our time.
Can perceiving the world through the eyes of mystics truly hold significance in our fast-paced modern society? We firmly believe that not only is it relevant, but it is also vital for us to elevate our consciousness levels. This growth in awareness or divine union, as some religious traditions may refer to it, is essential. According to Einstein, we cannot solve problems using the same level of consciousness that created them. By regularly practicing contemplation, we can awaken to the profound presence of the unitive Spirit. This awakening grants us the courage and ability to confront the paradox that everything is interconnected, including ourselves. Opening ourselves up to higher states of consciousness allows us to grasp and encompass more.
If we approach the writings of the mystics with a mindset of simple mindfulness, we can gain profound insights and adopt practices that will enable us to find deep and all-encompassing peace, even when faced with various forms of limitation and suffering that life presents us with. By immersing ourselves in the profound grace that flows within, we can live without judgment, extend forgiveness, cultivate love, and find tranquillity in the simplicity of our lives—through this realization, we come to understand that our lives are far from ordinary.
By incorporating the insights of the mystics into our daily and even momentary perspectives, we can infuse our lives and our work with an open-hearted approach. This allows us to discover that the ordinary path can also be a path of spiritual awakening. The key lies in how we perceive and feel with our eyes and our hearts.
An open heart
To awake into the mystery of life, we have to let go of what has been asleep. We hold our sleeping heart in our hands and dive gently into the life we are living. In that moment, love comes to rest in us.
Accept the miracle of the present, so that we can be who we are.
Compassion is the everlasting story of how we forgive ourselves for denying our particular place in the fabric of all that is.
Keep walking, don’t try to see through the distances.
Move within, and feel that spaciousness inside.
The mystery is that being authentic reveals to us our connection with life.
Connected, yet moving toward the spiritual art of non-attachment.
No better love than love with no object.
To be kind we do not need self-control, just an open heart.

Simple Mindfulness
"If we approach the writings of the mystics with a mindset of simple mindfulness, we can gain profound insights and adopt practices that will enable us to find deep and all-encompassing peace..."
Just one month, 5 West Kootenay summers ago, spent 'religiously' following the 'Simple Mindfulness' -- Self-Awareness -- interior wisdom of George Gurdjieff, made Frantisek' & Chantal's statement ring so true for me. West Kootenay Nature, for example, came to visit me in Wonderful ways.
And yet my logical 'secular' self is reminded that mystical folk like Blavatsky & Gurdjieff, Pythagoras & Plotinus -- on the outside -- must have looked bizarre & behaved outrageously to the majority of their contemporaries. Perhaps it's much 'simpler', for our…
